JANUARY BEAUTY FAVOURITES: EOS | GlamGlow | SkinFood | SmashBox | Yonka

It's a little early but since I have lots planned at the weekend and early next week I thought it would be a good idea to get this post up.

How is it almost the end of January already and pay day has finally arrived! Pay day last month felt like absolutely ages away and I have resulted to taking part in mystery shopping to earn extra pocket money.

My favourites this month have been a selection of goodies.

GlamGlow - thirsty mud
My skin cannot get enough of this and I am picking up another jar when I head to the US. Read my review here.

EOS Coconut Milk
I can't get enough of this super cute EOS lip blam in coconut milk. I received this one from a Christmas swap I done back in Dec, to see what else I received hop over to this page.

SkinFood
Avocado serum and the sample packs of rice mask and black sugar mask. This a Korean drug store product widely sold in America and so far I have enjoyed everything I tested from this brand. Again all the products were sent to me from the swap back in dec. (thanks chie if you are reading this)

Smashbox
This is my first smashbox product and it's the Melon drama lipstick. I tend to apply it lightly for a tint more than a full on lip colour for work. Their lipsticks are fairly moisturising unlike some brands so I will be picking up more colours in Sephora.

Yonka
Serum vita is actually for the face but I find it too strong and gives me breakout so I have been using it on my neck and I am really enjoying it. It's smells like relaxing massage oil and often we neglect our necks so I been able to put this into good use.

That is all....since I have been cutting down on spending in general there's been lack of or shall I say no actual shopping over the last 3 months. I am really enjoying using up what I have in my draws and cutting down on spending.

If you are also trying to cut down on spending these posts may help.

I was just commenting on another post saying it's worth buying the sample pots to test out first. I think they cost between $16-19 USD from sephora, def worth trying before buying since they are expensive!

  • I've heard a lot about EOS balms and keeping meaning (but forgetting) to get hold of one, as my lips need some good taking care of in this cold weather haha.

  • I love skinfood as a brand so so so much! It's such a pity I have to import it in the UK, makes everything so much more expensive. I've heard really good things about the glamglow thirsty mud, but it's kind of out of my price range at the minute. Congrats on not spending too!

I know it's so expensive to buy over here and I wish the asian brands are more available. They have actual SKINFOOD shops over in the US and people over here are more willing to try out asian brands. Thanks for stopping by!

  • LOVE Skin Food! Chie knows her stuff when it comes to masks! Did you find the rice masks brightened your face a little bit? I have a rice pack from The Face Shop and was wondering if it did the same thing as your packs.

Oooh yeah she definitely knows her stuff! I found it gave me more moisture rather than brighten with the rice pack. If you have dry / dehydrated skin I would suggest for you to give it a go!

  • These look so good and I haven't heard of any of these products before. I'll definitely be wanting to give some of them a try! The skin food looks interesting to try first :-)

Skin food is worth a try since their prices are budget friendly. So far everything I have tried from their range I would re-purchase. I will be doing individual reviews over the coming weeks so look out for those!

  • I don't think I've tried a Skin Food product that I haven't liked yet. I've been using their Black Sugar Cleansing Oil for the past couple months and think it's amazing!

I have to agree and the main thing is the price of their products are so good! Shame we cannot get these brands easily in UK.
